For this month i decided to transcribe this amazing solo played by the great Herbie Hancock on Seven Steps To Heaven (composed by the great Victor Feldman).
It was recorded in New York on May 14th 1963 at the CBS 30th Street Studio with George Coleman, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Tony Williams.
This is the first solo i’ve ever studied by the great Herbie Hancock (i think i studied it on September 2013), it’s really challanging for the guitar and it’s really one of my favorites.
It will open you new doors for II V I. It’s not an easy solo but on guitar is really logical (also in terms of fingering).
